# Privacy Policy

Meyron ("we," "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we do and do not collect when you visit meyron.co.

## The short version

**We do not collect personal information from visitors browsing the site.** No accounts, no tracking cookies, no advertising IDs, no behavioural profiling. The only personal data we collect is your email address, and only if you voluntarily provide it to sign up for our newsletter.

## What we don't collect

- No user accounts — you cannot create one, we do not have one to log into
- No health data — we never ask you what conditions you have, what medications you take, or what your risk factors are
- No advertising identifiers, no third-party ad networks, no cross-site tracking
- No behavioural analytics that identify individual visitors

## What we do collect

**1. Newsletter subscriptions (optional).** If you enter your email in our newsletter signup form, we store your email address to send you occasional updates when new IARC classifications are published. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

**2. Basic server logs (automatic).** Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web request data including IP address, user agent, timestamp, and the URL requested. These logs are used for security and technical operations and are retained per Vercel's own data retention policy. We do not use these logs to identify or profile individual visitors.

- **Supabase** hosts our reference database (the risk-factor content). See [supabase.com/privacy](https://supabase.com/privacy).
- **We do not use** Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, retargeting pixels, or any similar tools.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any data we hold about you. Since the only personal data we hold about most visitors is a newsletter subscription (if applicable):

- **Access** — you can email us to ask what we have (it's your email, or nothing)
- **Deletion** — you can unsubscribe via any email, which removes your address from our list
- **Portability** — same as access
- **GDPR (EU/UK residents)** — the legal basis for processing your newsletter email is your explicit consent
- **CCPA (California residents)** — you have the right to know, delete, and opt out (we do not sell data)

## Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover we have, we will delete it.

## Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if the changes are material, notify newsletter subscribers.
